| 正面描述 | Central field bearing a multi-line Old Uyghur legend distributed across the flan, reading the royal titulature of Khan Toqta. The inscription, rendered in characteristic Uyghur script with angular strokes, conveys the full regnal title of the sovereign. The field is plain with scattered pellets as decorative or separating elements, and the coin is bordered by a beaded circle near the irregular rim. The strike is typical of hammered Golden Horde silver coinage, with uneven flan preparation resulting in partial legend visibility at the edges. |

Toqta ruled the Golden Horde through one of its more turbulent internal periods, having seized power by defeating and killing his predecessor Tele-Buqa in 1291 with the help of Nogai — the same Nogai he would later turn against and destroy in 1299. The Ukek mint, situated on the Volga near modern Saratov, was among the Horde's most productive western minting centers during this reign. The use of Uighur script for the khan's name on this issue reflects the administrative and scribal traditions carried westward from the Mongol heartland, persisting in Jochid coinage well after Arabic had become dominant for religious and formal titulature.
