| Reverse description | The reverse features a long cross with plain arms extending to the coin's edge, dividing the field into four quadrants. A small shield bearing the arms of the lordship is placed at the centre of the cross. The abbreviated devotional Latin legend is distributed around the cross in the surrounding field. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, consistent with hand-hammered feudal coinage of 16th-century Lorraine. The overall execution is characteristic of a minor seigneurial mint operating with limited technical resources. |
