Obverse description Central field features a plain cross pattée enclosed within a plain inner circle bordered by a raised beaded ring. A fleur-de-lis is placed in the lower-left quarter of the cross. The outer border is decorated with alternating large mullets (six-pointed stars) and concave-sided lozenges arranged in a continuous pattern around the periphery. The circumferential Latin legend reads between the inner beaded circle and the outer decorative border. The overall style is consistent with anonymous episcopal billon coinage of the late thirteenth century.
