Obverse description Central shield device depicting the Seal of Lexington, with a standing Minute Man of 1775 in relief at center, set against a sunburst background. The date 1775 appears above the shield, with APRIL 19TH below, flanked by the inscriptions 1642 CAMB. FARMS to the left and 1713 LEXINGTON to the right on the shield's side panels. Reverse description Plain flat field bearing a seven-line inscription in raised relief lettering, with CENTENNIAL arching around the upper border and APRIL 19. 1875 curving along the lower border. The intervening lines read CELEBRATION / OF THE / BATTLE / OF / LEXINGTON in varying letter sizes. A suspension hole is pierced at the top.
