Obverse description Crowned bust of King Philip V facing left, rendered in low relief in the crude hammered style typical of Majorcan billon coinage of the early 18th century. The king is depicted with curled hair falling to the neck and wearing a crown with visible pearled arches. The surrounding circular Latin legend reads + PHILIPVS · V · R · ARAGO, identifying the monarch as Philip V, King of Aragon. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-struck billon issues of this period. The overall strike is typical of the Palma de Majorca Mint's output for this denomination.
