正面描述	Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in fine high relief in the Hellenic tradition. The goddess wears a Corinthian helmet decorated with a coiled serpent on the bowl, along with an earring and a beaded necklace. The facial features are idealized and finely detailed, characteristic of Macedonian royal coinage of the late 4th century BC. The neck and cheek-guards of the helmet frame the face elegantly, with the crest rising prominently above.

In her outstretched right hand she holds a wreath, while her left hand raises a stylis over her left shoulder. In the lower left field, an upright thunderbolt serves as a mint control mark, with the Greek letters Λ over Ο positioned below the wing. The full reverse legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, identifying the coin as belonging to Alexander, runs along the right field.
