| Reverse description | An eight-petalled rosette occupies the entire reverse field, each petal stylized in the form of a bird's head with a curved beak, creating a zoomorphic floral motif. The design radiates outward from a central pellet or boss, with each avian petal rendered in confident relief. The composition fills the irregular flan to its edges and is entirely anepigraphic. This distinctive zoomorphic treatment is a hallmark of the Bulghar mint issues of the late 13th to early 14th century. No legend, exergue, or border is present. |
