| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse field bears a three-line Arabic Shahada inscription in raised Naskh script, reading: 'La ilaha illa Allah / Muhammad rasul Allah', the Islamic declaration of faith, followed in the lower portion of the field by the AH date numerals 691 or 693. The lettering is boldly struck in high relief against a flat flan, with pellet separators between lines. As on the obverse, the entire design is enclosed within a border of raised pellets following the irregular circumference of the hammered flan. The overall style is consistent with Golden Horde silver dirhams struck at Saray under Khan Toqta. |
