Obverse description Multi-line Arabic legend arranged in horizontal registers across the field, recording the mint name Saray and the AH date 681. A tamga (dynastic emblematic symbol of the ruling Jochid house) appears within or alongside the inscription. The strike is characteristic of hammered Mongol dirhams, with irregular flan edges and bold, somewhat compressed calligraphy in the Naskh style.
