The reverse follows the standard Umayyad formula attributing authority to the caliph and acknowledging the prophetic mission. The lettering is bold and angular, consistent with the hammered Kufic style of the Córdoban mint during the reign of Sulayman (second reign, 403–407 AH). The flat, undecorated field and irregular flan are characteristic of late Andalusian Umayyad silver coinage.
