| Reverse description | Central field contains four horizontal lines of Kufic Arabic inscription enclosed within a single linear inner border circle, with a further inscription running along the outer margin and a dotted outer border. The reverse follows the standard Umayyad formula attributing authority to the caliph and acknowledging the prophetic mission. The lettering is bold and angular, consistent with the hammered Kufic style of the Córdoban mint during the reign of Sulayman (second reign, 403–407 AH). The flat, undecorated field and irregular flan are characteristic of late Andalusian Umayyad silver coinage. |
