| Obverse description | Central field occupied by multi-line Arabic legend struck in bold relief on an irregular flan, recording the mint name Miknas (Meknes) and the AH date 1177, corresponding to 1764 AD. The inscriptions are executed in a characteristic Maghribi script style typical of Alaoui Sharifian coinage. A partial border of pellets frames the central legend along portions of the coin's periphery. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped, consistent with hammered silver coinage of the period. |

Sidi Mohammed III consolidated Moroccan monetary policy shortly after taking power in 1757, standardizing silver coinage across multiple mints as part of a broader administrative reorganization. Meknes — Miknas in Arabic — had served as the imperial capital under Moulay Ismail, and its mint retained political prestige long after the court shifted priorities. The attribution C#32.7 distinguishes this Meknes striking from stylistically similar issues of the same reign, mint-specific die characteristics being the primary differentiator across the series.
