Reverse description Reverse similarly organized in concentric zones following Fatimid stylistic conventions, with a central circular medallion enclosing an abbreviated Kufic legend or monogram in raised relief. An intermediate annular band carries the Arabic religious inscription in Kufic script citing the Abbasid caliph al-Mustanjid Billah (الامام المستنجد بالله), legitimizing the issue within the broader Islamic political framework. The outer zone is adorned with a radiating petal or leaf ornamental border. Additional marginal inscriptions appear in the lower field of the flan. The flan is irregular and oval, characteristic of hammered production at an uncertain mint during the Ildegizid period.
