| Obverse description | Central field occupied by multiple horizontal lines of Arabic inscription arranged within a plain inner circle, bearing the name and titles of the ruler Sayyid al-dawla Sulayman of the Hudid dynasty. A secondary circular legend in Arabic runs between the inner circle and an outer beaded border, with a vegetal or rope-style marginal ornament framing the entire design. The hammered flan displays the characteristic irregular outline typical of Taifa-period silver coinage. The epigraphy is executed in angular Kufic script. |
