| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a prominent four-pointed star motif, formed by intersecting angular Arabic inscriptions arranged in a cruciform pattern. Multi-line Arabic religious and titular legends occupy each quadrant of the star, with additional marginal inscription running along the inner border of the flan. The striking is characteristically bold and irregular, with high-relief lettering typical of Shirvanshah hammered billon coinage of the mid-11th century. The flan is slightly irregular in shape, with some weakness at the periphery consistent with hand-struck production. |
