Reverse description Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription arranged in horizontal registers within a single circular border, naming the Abbasid caliph al-Mustazhir Billah and the local Seljuq ruler Ridwan ibn Tutush. A small ornament or pellet appears above the uppermost line of the legend. The flan is irregular in outline, consistent with hand-cut hammered silver planchets of the period. The overall style conforms to standard Seljuq administrative coinage of the late 5th century AH.
