Within or adjacent to the crescent, a secondary abstract element — possibly a second crescent or a curved ornamental motif — is visible. The surrounding field bears faint radiating or foliate strokes extending toward the irregular flan edge. Pellet ornaments appear in the upper field. The design is entirely decorative and carries no inscription, consistent with the 'ornamental type' classification of Golden Horde dirhams struck at Bulghar in the late 13th to early 14th century. |
