Obverse description Irregular hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend in the field, struck in the characteristic Moroccan square-script style of the Alaoui dynasty. The inscription, rendered in relief across the entire face, records the name and titles of Sultan Moulay Sulayman. The strike is typical of hand-hammered provincial coinage, resulting in an uneven surface and partially off-center lettering. The field shows no border or decorative framing, consistent with the second standard dirham type issued at Tetuan.
