Obverse description Irregular hammered silver flan bearing a central Arabic legend within a circular cartouche. The inscription reads 'Struck in Fes' (ضرب بفاس) in bold Maghrebi script, occupying the central field. The flan is notably irregular in shape, consistent with the hand-hammered coinage tradition of the Alaoui dynasty. The surfaces show characteristic flow lines and surface irregularities typical of struck hammered issues. A secondary countermark or attachment fixture is visible at the left margin of the coin.
