The inscription reads 'Rabat al-Fath' in stylised Arabic script, arranged across the face of the coin in two lines. The surfaces are characteristically uneven and lightly striated, consistent with the hammered production technique employed at the Rabat al-Fath mint during the reign of Sultan Moulay Abd al-Rahman.
