| Beschrijving voorzijde | Centrally arranged Kufic inscription occupying the entire field in three horizontal lines, reading the Islamic profession of faith (Shahada). The legends are struck on a flat, unadorned flan typical of billon dirhams of the early medieval Caucasian dynasties. The script is executed in angular Kufic style, with strokes showing the characteristic weight variation of hand-engraved dies. The coin exhibits an irregular, slightly cracked flan consistent with hammered billon coinage of the period. No border ornament or marginal legend is present. |
