Reverse description Central field bears a multi-line Arabic kufic inscription arranged concentrically within a double circular border. The inner legend names the Prophet Muhammad and invokes blessings upon him, while the outer legend continues with the Quranic verse of the mission (Quran 9:33). A second inner inscription names the ruling prince Ma'n ibn Muhammad ibn Sumadih, the Taifa ruler of Almería, asserting dynastic authority. The hammered flan is irregular in outline, with flat but slightly off-center strike, consistent with Taifa-period Andalusian minting practice.
