Obverse description Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Arabic-script legend disposed across the central field, reading the royal titulature of Kebek Khan: 'kibak al-khaqan al-a'zam malik ruqab al-umam zuyyida 'adluhu khan' ('Kebek, the supreme khagan, king of the necks of nations, may his justice be increased, khan'). The inscription is executed in an angular Naskh-influenced hand typical of Chagataid coinage of the early fourteenth century. A partial dotted border is visible along the right and lower rim, framing the field. The flan is irregular in shape, with characteristic uneven edges resulting from the hand-hammered production technique.
