| Beschrijving keerzijde | Within a beaded circle, the full honorific titulature of Sultan Kaykhusraw III is inscribed in multiple lines of Arabic script filling the central field. The legend records the sultan's laqab (honorific epithet), kunya, and nasab (lineage), identifying him as the son of Kilij Arslan IV. The bold, deeply struck Naskhi script characters occupy virtually the entire flan, a hallmark of Rum Seljuk dirham design of this period. The composition is purely epigraphic, with no figural or geometric ornamental elements, consistent with the orthodox Islamic coinage tradition of the late Rum Sultanate. |
