| Obverse description | Within a beaded hexalobe frame inscribed inside a circular border, the sultan's seal occupies the central field, accompanied by a small gnat motif. The Arabic legend in the central zone reads 'Al-Malik Allah' (The sovereignty belongs to God), rendered in bold Thuluth-style script. A marginal legend encircles the design, recording the mint city and the AH date of issue. The overall composition is characteristic of Seljuk of Rum hammered silver coinage, with a slightly irregular flan typical of the period. |
