| Obverse description | A lion passant to right with a radiant sun rising above its back, the sun depicted with stylized rays emanating from a circular center. A six-pointed star appears to either side of the sun. An Arabic legend is inscribed in the upper field, identifying the ruler. The design is characteristic of the iconic Lion and Sun motif introduced under Sultan Kaykhusraw II, reflecting both royal and astrological symbolism of the Anatolian Seljuq court. |
