Reverse description Central field features a hexagonal geometric frame enclosing the Arabic epithet of the anonymous Ilkhan ruler, inscribed in two lines. The hexagonal cartouche is bordered by a beaded inner frame and flanked by diagonal decorative lines extending to the coin's edge, a design convention characteristic of early Ilkhanate anonymous issues struck at Tabriz. A dotted border runs along the right margin of the flan. The overall style reflects the transitional Mongol-Islamic artistic vocabulary adopted by the Ilkhanid chancellery prior to the formal conversion to Islam.
