Obverse description Central field occupied by the Shahada inscription in multiple lines of Arabic script within a rectangular frame, reading the declaration of Islamic faith. The legend is executed in a bold, angular Kufic-influenced hand typical of Ilkhanid hammered coinage. The outer border shows traces of a secondary marginal inscription. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with characteristic die wear and surface porosity consistent with silver dirhams of the early Ilkhanid period.
