Obverse description Central field occupied by four horizontal lines of Arabic Kufic script arranged within a linear square border, containing the Islamic profession of faith (Shahada). The inscription is enclosed within a double circular border composed of pellets and linear rings. The irregular flan edge is characteristic of hand-struck Idrisid coinage. No figural imagery is present, consistent with Islamic numismatic tradition.
