| Descrizione del dritto | Hammered silver dirham struck at al-Aliyah (Fes) in the name of Idris II. The central field carries three horizontal lines of Kufic inscription arranged in registers, stating the mint, date, and the shahada. A marginal legend in Kufic script encircles the central text within a plain linear border. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular flan of Maghrebi Idrisid dirhams, with slightly ragged edges and flat, well-struck inner fields. The name 'Ali' appears at the base of the central inscription as an additional formula. |
