Reverse description Central field displays three horizontal registers of Arabic Kufic script within a plain inner circle, the uppermost element featuring a prominent curved initial letter. The inscriptions, likely comprising the profession of faith and the name of the issuing authority, are arranged in the standard Abbasid-influenced epigraphic dirham format adopted by the Idrisid dynasty. A single linear border separates the inner field from a wide outer marginal band bearing a continuous circular Kufic legend, possibly including the mint name Asilah or a Quranic verse. The flan is irregular and the strike slightly weak in areas, consistent with the hammered technique and hand-cut dies of the period.
