Reverse description The reverse field is entirely occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription in bold Naskhi script arranged in four or five horizontal lines, recording the ruler's titles and names together with a Sunni profession of faith or caliph's name. The text is enclosed within a beaded or dotted inner circle with a plain outer border. The epigraphy is deeply struck and well-spaced, typical of Artuqid copper dirhams of the mid-12th century, with individual letters clearly separated and diacritical marks occasionally visible.
