| Reverse description | The reverse bears a multi-line Arabic Naskhi inscription arranged in horizontal registers across the field, recording the name and titles of the Artuqid ruler Fakhr al-Din Qara Arslan. The legends include honorific epithets and the ruler's laqab, typical of Artuqid copper dirhams of the 12th century. The inscription is enclosed within a beaded border. The script is clearly legible Naskhi, with individual letter forms well-defined despite the irregular flan and variable striking pressure characteristic of hammered Islamic copper coinage. |
