Additional information

Tochtamysh briefly reunified the fractured Golden Horde in the 1380s, reclaiming both the eastern and western wings of the khanate before his catastrophic defeat by Timur at the Battle of the Kondurcha River in 1391 effectively ended his dominance. This dirham, struck at Saray al-Jadida just three years before that turning point, dates from the narrow window when his authority over the mints was uncontested.

Sagdeeva 434 and 435 represent distinct die varieties of this year and mint combination — a detail worth confirming against the specific specimen before cataloging.
