Reverse description The reverse displays a multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script, filling the central field and recording the mint and, on dated specimens, the year of issue. The legend reads 'Struck in the city of Sarai' (Saray al-Jadida), distributed across three horizontal lines within the field. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck Jochid coinage of this period. Dot ornaments punctuate the margins and serve as decorative dividers between the lines of text. The overall design is entirely epigraphic, with no figurative or geometric border elements.
