Reverse description The reverse displays a four-line Arabic mint and date legend in the field, reading 'Zarb / Saray / al-Jadida / 762' (AH 762, corresponding to AD 1361), recording the place of issue as the New Saray mint. The numerals appear in Eastern Arabic form at the base of the inscription. The entire reverse surface is occupied by the legend, with no additional ornamental devices, consistent with standard Golden Horde dirham typology of this period. The strike is irregular at the edges, typical of the hammered production method.
