Reverse description The reverse presents a multi-line Arabic inscription distributed across the field without an enclosing cartouche, giving the mint and regnal year information in a format standard to Golden Horde dang issues of the late 14th century. The legends are rendered in a bold, somewhat cursive Naskh script, with individual letter forms merging fluidly as was common in the hurried production of hammered coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly off-center, with portions of the legend running toward the edge.
