Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in bold naskh script, reading the royal titulature of Shadi Beg Khan. The inscription, partially cut by the irregular flan edge, invokes the sultan's title and a pious invocation for the prolongation of his reign. Scattered pellet ornaments are visible between the lines of text, a characteristic decorative device of Golden Horde coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly buckled, typical of hammered production. No border or geometric frame is present.
