| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in bold Naskh script reading 'al-Sultan al-Adil Qulpa Khan, may God perpetuate his reign.' The inscription is arranged in three or four lines across the flan, filling the entire face. A pellet-and-arc border frames the legend, with scattered pellet ornaments visible in the field. The irregular flan, characteristic of hammered Golden Horde coinage, imparts an uneven periphery typical of mid-14th century steppe monetary production. |
