| Obverse description | Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic legend in bold, somewhat crude hammered relief, occupying the entire face of the coin. The inscription, reading in three horizontal lines across the flan, proclaims the royal title and epithet of the issuing khan. The script is executed in a characteristic Golden Horde hand, with individual letter forms slightly irregular due to the hammered striking technique. The flat, unadorned field shows no border or decorative frame, typical of mid-14th century Golden Horde coinage. Minor areas of weakness and surface granularity are consistent with the irregular flan preparation of this series. |
