Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription arranged in horizontal registers, proclaiming the royal titulature of Khan Jani Beg. The legend reads 'Sultan the Just Jani Beg Khan, may his rule be long,' rendered in a bold Naskh-influenced script characteristic of Golden Horde coinage. A row of pellets is visible along the upper border, serving as a decorative frame. The flan is irregular in shape, as typical of hammered Mongol dirhams of this period, with some weakness at the periphery.
