| 正面铭文 | السلطان العادل جاني بك خان ٧٥١ |
| 背面描述 | Central field displaying a three-line Arabic legend in naskh script arranged in tabular format, reading 'Duriba / Saray al-Jadida / 751', indicating the mint name and AH date of issue. The word 'Duriba' (struck/minted) appears in the uppermost line, conforming to the standard formulaic reverse type of Golden Horde dirhams. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, consistent with hand-hammered production, and the strike exhibits typical minor flatness at the margins. A series of pellets is discernible bordering the lower legend lines. |

Jani Beg Khan ruled the Golden Horde at its political apex, and the Saray al-Jadida mint — "New Saray," established on the Akhtuba branch of the Volga — was the administrative and commercial heart of that power. This issue dates to a period when the Horde controlled trade arteries stretching from the Black Sea to Central Asia, and Jani Beg had recently pressed his advantage into Azerbaijan, briefly seizing Tabriz in 1357. The dang was the standard fractional unit of Horde silver coinage, and Saray al-Jadida's output dwarfed that of provincial mints.
The dual Sagdeeva references reflect die variety distinctions documented in her 2005 catalog of Jochid coinage.
