Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script, rendered in raised relief on a plain flan. The legend, distributed across three or four lines, proclaims the royal titulature of Sultan Dervish Khan with the customary pious invocation. The flan is irregularly shaped and slightly uneven, characteristic of hammered coinage of the late Golden Horde period. Inscription lines are clearly separated and the lettering, while somewhat worn, retains legible detail across most of the field.
