Obverse description The obverse field bears a multi-line Arabic epigraphic legend arranged horizontally across the flan, executed in a bold Naskh script characteristic of Golden Horde coinage. The central inscription reads the royal titulature of Khan Berdi Beg, identifying him as the just sultan. The lettering is raised in relief against a flat field, with the irregular flan edges cutting into the outermost portions of the legend. No figural imagery or geometric border frame is present, the design being entirely calligraphic in the Islamic tradition.
