| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse field is entirely occupied by a three-line Arabic inscription in bold, flowing Naskh script, reading 'al-Sultan al-Adil / Muhammad Berdi Beg / Khan' (the Just Sultan, Muhammad Berdi Beg, Khan). The lettering is deeply struck and fills the flan, characteristic of Golden Horde hammered coinage. No border or ornamental devices are present; the legend alone constitutes the decorative program. The flan is irregular in outline, as typical of mid-14th century Jochid dirhams, with moderate relief throughout. |
