| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse bears a multi-line Arabic legend filling the entire field of the irregularly shaped flan, struck in a bold raised relief characteristic of Golden Horde hammered coinage. The inscription, disposed in horizontal lines across the coin's surface, reads the royal titulature of Khan Berdi Beg, identifying him as the just sultan. The script is executed in a Naskh-derived style typical of mid-14th century Jochid monetary production, with individual letterforms clearly articulated despite the uneven flan. No decorative border or marginal legend is present, the inscription occupying the full available die area. |
