The inscription, which proclaims the sultan's title and invokes the longevity of his reign, is arranged in horizontal registers across the flan. The lettering is bold and characteristic of late Golden Horde epigraphy, with interlocking strokes filling the field. The irregular flan edge and characteristic fabric of the hammered silver flan are consistent with mid-14th century Golden Horde coinage. |
