| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central six-pointed star (Star of David) formed by two interlaced triangles with beaded borders along each side, occupying the majority of the flan. Multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script fills the interior of the star, giving the name and titles of the Ayyubid ruler al-Malik al-Zahir Ghazi. Additional portions of the Arabic legend are placed in the six triangular points surrounding the star. The overall design is a close imitation of the Ayyubid dirhams struck at Aleppo, adapted for Crusader commercial use in the County of Tripoli. |

| Opschrift voorzijde | ﺍﻟﻤﻠﻚ الظاهر غازي ﺍﺑﻦ ﻳﻮﺳﻒ ﺑﻦ ﺍﻳﻮﺏ ضرب / بحلب / سنة ار / بع عشر / ين ست / مائة (Translation: al-Malik al-Zahir Ghazi Ibn Yusuf Bin Ayyub : `The ruler as-Zahir Ghazi, son of Saladin`. Darab bi Halab sanat arbet eshr wa sitt mia: `Struck in Aleppo in the year six hundred and fourteen.`) |
| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central six-pointed star (Star of David) formed by two interlaced triangles with beaded borders along each side, closely mirroring the obverse design. Multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script is distributed within the star's interior and in the six outer triangular points. The reverse legend continues or complements the obverse text with mint and date information. The irregular flan and characteristic die-engraving style are consistent with hammered Crusader imitative coinage of the County of Tripoli. |
