| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central circular cartouche enclosing the khan's name and title in Arabic script, arranged in two or three lines across the field. A circular border separates the inner legend from the surrounding marginal inscription, which reads the honorific title 'Supreme Sultan' (al-Sultan al-Azam) in Arabic. The die is crudely engraved in the typical style of late Golden Horde hammered coinage, with irregular flan edges and moderate relief. The script style is consistent with Mongol-period Arabic epigraphy found on steppe coinage of the early fifteenth century. |
