Obverse description Aniconographic field bearing a three-line Arabic legend in naskh script. The central inscription reads 'al-Sultan al-Adil / Bulad Khan / khallada mulkahu' (The Just Sultan / Bulad Khan / may his reign be perpetual). The lettering is bold and deeply struck on the irregularly shaped flan, with occasional pellet ornaments separating the lines. The die is slightly off-center, as is typical of hammered Golden Horde coinage of this period.
